All SDI spirometers use turbine technology (rather than differential pressure technology), they are not affected by fluctuations in temperature, barometric pressure or gas viscosity.
ATS does recommend a daily calibration check on all spirometers (regardless of technlogy) and if the facility is doing social security disability testing then a need for daily calibration check is required.
