The UP-X899MD is a compact A6 black and white digital printer, and the successor to the Sony UP-898 medical printer series.
It delivers high-speed, high-quality black and white printing with enhanced image accuracy, an improved user interface/printing cutter, and upgraded environmental performance.

The dual cutter allows prints to be cut upwards or downwards, with blades at the top and bottom of the output slot. Smooth downward cutting is possible even when the printer is installed below the ultrasound console. The redesigned cutter ensures even smoother operation, enhancing workflow efficiency.

Store Still Images on a USB Flash Drive

The UP-X899MD can automatically store printed still images from both digital and video input via a connected USB flash drive.

Use with a Wide Range of Modalities

A choice of analog composite video and PC-friendly digital USB inputs allows flexible use with a wide range of modality devices.

Wide PC compatibility

For maximum flexibility, a wide range of PC drivers are provided for Windows 10 and 11. When choosing compatible mode, you can select a 898/897 driver.

Compliance with medical standards

This product is distributed to the US and EU as a medical device and satisfies product safety standards (e.g., IEC 60601-1).

Wireless Printing Capability

The optional UPA-WU10 wireless printing solution offers a simple, cable-free connection alternative to USB cabled connections for the UP-X899MD printer and other compatible Sony medical printers in the OR, or in the ultrasound suite.
