The Bovie MI-550 LED Examination Light is a lamp with a small diameter, but emits a powerful 55,000 lux of illumination on its brightest setting. The MI-550 is equipped with a convenient handle for positioning, which also possesses a button to adjust the brightness right under the user’s thumb. The handle is situated on the outer rim of the lamphead, in order to reduce shadows and other light obstructions. This exam light emits pure white illumination at very low heat with an output rating of 55,000 lux at 4,300 degrees Kelvin color temperature.
Engineered with green technology, the MI 550 uses significantly less electricity than standard halogen lights. The long-life LEDs are rated at 50,000 hours, mitigating the need for inconvenient bulb changes. Additionally, the MI-550 LED is powered with 8 LED units, emitting a brightness of 55,000 lux at its highest setting, and 27,500 lux at its lowest. The portable floor stand model allows for easy transport between offices or examination rooms, and is weighted for balance.
